ealth and Wellness Guarantee – Cane Corso Puppies
We raise our Cane Corso puppies in-home with proactive veterinary care. The following protections apply to every puppy placed.
- Veterinary Examination
The Buyer must take their Cane Corso puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a full health check within seven (7) days of receiving the puppy. If the veterinarian discovers a serious congenital defect or underlying illness, a full refund of the adoption fee, including transportation costs, will be issued upon the safe return of the puppy.
- Breed-Specific Coverage
Because Cane Corsos can be prone to certain genetic conditions, we provide a 26-month guarantee against serious congenital defects. If diagnosed with a covered condition (including hip or elbow dysplasia, cardiac abnormalities, or severe ocular disorders) by two (2) licensed veterinarians, the Buyer may return the puppy for either a full refund of the adoption fee (including transportation costs) or a replacement Cane Corso puppy of equal value.
- Communicable Diseases
If the puppy is diagnosed with a communicable disease within the first fourteen (14) days of arrival, a full refund of the adoption fee, including transportation costs, will be provided upon the puppy's return.
- Transportation and Delivery
Shipping: If the puppy is shipped, the Buyer is responsible for all transportation expenses. Only trusted pet transport services are used, and tracking details are provided for peace of mind.
Pickup: If the Buyer chooses to pick up their puppy in person, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of signing this agreement. The remaining balance must be paid in full upon pickup.
- Cost and Payment
The full adoption fee must be paid prior to delivery of the puppy, whether through shipping or pickup. For pickup arrangements, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of this agreement, with the remaining balance due at pickup.
- Buyer's Responsibilities
The Buyer agrees to provide their Cane Corso puppy with lifelong care, including high-quality nutrition appropriate for large/giant breeds, fresh water, secure shelter, daily exercise, mental enrichment, and regular veterinary care. The Buyer must also comply with all state and local regulations regarding dog ownership and provide consistent training and early socialization.
- Cane Corso Specific Considerations
Given the breed's unique characteristics, we recommend:
- Orthopedic screening (OFA/PennHIP) as the puppy matures
- Cardiac evaluation by a veterinary cardiologist
- Monitoring for bloat/GDV risk with proper feeding protocols (elevated bowls not recommended)
- Regular inspection of facial wrinkles for moisture or infection
- Early socialization and obedience training to support confident, stable temperament
- Controlled exercise during growth phases to protect developing joints
This agreement represents the full understanding between the breeder and the Buyer. Any changes must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
